Privacy Policy
The short version: Staylit does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and it never connects to the internet.
Who we are
Staylit is a macOS app made by WHITE DIGIT LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how Staylit and this website (staylit.wdigit.app) handle information.
Information we collect
None. Staylit does not collect personal information, usage statistics, crash reports, device identifiers or any other data, and it does not send anything to us or to anyone else.
Information stored on your Mac
Staylit saves your preferences, such as your list of durations, the duration you last picked and your Settings choices, so they are still there the next time you open the app. These preferences are stored only on your Mac, inside the app’s own sandboxed container, and are never transmitted. You can remove them at any time by deleting the app.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications in Settings, macOS asks for your permission and Staylit shows local notifications when it turns on or off. These notifications are created on your Mac; nothing is sent over the network. You can turn them off in Staylit’s Settings or in System Settings › Notifications.
Launch at login
If you enable “Launch at login”, Staylit registers itself with macOS as a login item. This is handled entirely by macOS on your Mac, and you can turn it off in Staylit’s Settings or in System Settings › General › Login Items.
Network access
Staylit makes no network connections. It runs fully inside the macOS App Sandbox and requests no network access.
Third parties
Staylit contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. Purchases and downloads are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store, and are subject to Apple’s own privacy policy.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Like most websites, the service that hosts it may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify you.
Children’s privacy
Staylit does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. Because Staylit collects no data, any change will never apply to data collected before it.
